XMAS
Noel Orphanage first opened its doors on Christmas Day 1954 and they were finally closed Christmas 2014. For the children, Christmas was marked with decorations in the Quadrant chapel, going to church and if funds were available a lunch with meat and Fanta. Some years were memorable with volunteers or organisations bringing or sending gifts and providing special feasts or treats of foods they didn’t often get to eat. In 2012 a visit from Father Christmas was a highlight for everyone, including Madam!
